A financial services provider based in Mauritius is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. With only a 15% tax rate you could make a decent living abroad. This role will be based on a 3 year renewable contract The role will include duties such as:

Manage, administer, and take responsibility of a portfolio of entities ranging from Global Business Companies, Authorised companies, International Business Companies, Domestic companies, Trusts, and Foundations
Responsible to carry out all accounting duties for a portfolio of clients which consists of Global Business Companies, Authorised companies, International Business Companies, Domestic companies, Trusts, and Foundations
Provide day-to-day financial reporting services to a portfolio of clients and structures, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures
Preparation of accounting schedules on Spreadsheet
Perform bank reconciliations and bank analysis
Responsible for all aspects of bookkeeping and processing accounting transactions on Sage Evolution (accounting software) required for producing financial statements and management accounts
Maintain quality, timely and accurate accounting records according to company policy guidelines
Preparation of financial reports on Spreadsheet and Sage Evolution (accounting software)
Preparation of financial statements and management accounts in compliance with relevant acts, International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for Global Business Companies, Authorised companies, International Business Companies, Domestic companies, Trusts, and Foundations
Preparation of accounting files and checklists to support the effective review of financial statements.
Perform detailed and analytical review of accounts
Preparation, computation and filing of tax returns (Corporate Tax, Income Tax, Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), Pay As You Earn (PAYE), Contribution Sociale Généralisée (CSG) and Portable Retirement Gratuity Fund (PRGF) with the relevant authorities
Calculation and submission of Value Added Tax (VAT) returns for domestic companies with the relevant authorities
Liaise with auditors and attending queries to complete the audit of financial statements in accordance with defined timetables
Assist and liaise with clients to keep them up to date regarding accounting and audit matters.
Prepare and submit periodic and annual statistical accounting reports and surveys as required by the Financial Services Commission (FSC)
