Indirect Tax Specialist (Fixed Term Contract)

London or Reigate (Hybrid)

Role Overview

You will provide Indirect Tax support to the Tax Team and continue to achieve VAT recoveries. This is a fundamental role for the business, and will give you the opportunity to liaise with the Board and expand specialisms quickly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Error Correction Notices (ECNs) for reclaim of input tax in line with the recently agreed Partial Exemption Special Methodology (PESM)
  • Liaise with HMRC in relation to these ECNs and manage any enquiries to ensure the speedy repayment of input tax
  • Liaise with Big Four VAT team in relation to the PESM
  • Work with Finance to find establish a process for ongoing preparation of PESM calculations on an ongoing basis.

Key Skills
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA/ATT/CTA or equivalent)
  • Indirect tax specialist
  • Partial Exemption Special Methodology (PESM) experience is essential.
  • Proven track record of ability to liaise with HMRC.
  • Financial services background
  • Investment and Insurance experience a bonus but not essential.
