Revenue Accountant - Maternity Cover 15 months starting July 2023
The team
Based at our HQ in London, the Revenue Accounting team are responsible for the revenue accounting for the Asset Management and certain Private Assets businesses across the Schroders group, both in the UK and around the globe. They ensure correct and consistent accounting and reporting on both a statutory and management accounts basis.
What you'll do
You will be have responsibility for owning parts of the revenue process, ensuring controls are operating effectively and key deliverables are met, working closely with Financial Controllers, Finance Business partners and Management Accountants to ensure revenue reporting and analysis is available to support financial statements, board packs and monthly management reporting.
In this role you will
• Ensure accurate accounting of revenue for our Asset Management business. Specifically the accounting of revenues from institutional clients, funds and performance related fees.
• Collaborating with our upstream finance operations teams, to ensure data and reporting we are provided with is correct, with appropriate review performed.
• Be responsible for providing analysis to Financial Controllers to evidence revenues are accurate for monthly submissions.
• Maintaining compliance with the group transfer pricing model so that revenues are allocated to the correct legal entity
• Building out new reporting to finance management to explain and evidence how our revenue transfer pricing is completed and how it is controlled.
• Managing relationship with auditors to sign off the control for the global revenue allocation system
• Preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Opportunity for oversight of junior members of the team.
Who we're looking for
• Has experience in a large finance function preferably asset management or other financial services organisation.
• Is proficient in the operation of a range of Finance systems and who is highly competent with the use of ledger accounting systems. Knowledge of Oracle Fusion would be beneficial.
• Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail, is enthusiastic and results driven.
• Has been able to improve the quality of finance information and delivered efficiency improvements in Finance processes.
• Will be able to develop close and effective working relationships within Finance and across other areas of business.
• Can work under their own initiative, work to tight deadlines and be flexible and proactive in their approach.
