Assistant Accountant, Project accounting, small friendly team, Bedford, to £37,000

Abacus Consulting are proud to be partnering a successful Events and Marketing SME business on the outskirts of Bedford. They have been established for over 40 years and have a niche client base, who are very loyal.

The role is to replace a person who is retiring and keen to secure a new team member as soon as possible. Working as part of a small finance team, reporting into the Head of Finance, your duties as the Assistant Accountant will include:

* Assist with management accounts prep

* Project Accounting

* Fixed Assets

* Bank and balance sheet recs

* VAT returns

* Posting journals

* Accruals and prepayments

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years finance experience in SME business. AAT, Part Qualified or QBE. You must be a self-starter with good Excel and IT skills. Modern/open plan offices. This is an Office based role 3 days per week, with 2 days Working remotely. Excellent company benefits
