Operations Consultant - Card and Merchant

Tea tūranga | The role:
Card Issuing & Merchant Acquiring Support Services is a specialist team who provide expert assistance to existing merchants and third-party vendors, as well as helping frontline staff with their card & merchant related queries. We are currently looking for an Operations Consultant to join us on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract and be based at North Wharf's State-Of-The-Art building.
In this role, you will provide information and assistance to new and existing ASB customers, to enable them to optimise the use of our products. You will also maintain and update card and merchant records, provide ongoing support to frontline staff and problem-solve any card and merchant queries which may arise. Your strong customer focus and exceptional phone manner will see you go far in this role.
Ō pūkenga | About you:
In order to be a successful Operations Consultant for this team, you will need:

High attention to detail and strong accuracy
Ability to drive for results, and thrive under pressure in a fast pace environment
Proven capability to take ownership and follow up
Your initiative and capability to think outside the box combined with a continuous improvement mind-set
A minimum of one years' experience in front line or Call Centre with a knowledge of the fundamentals of banking
A background in a card and/or merchant environment, especially Card and Merchant processes is advantageous
