Job Overview

We're looking for an experienced Accountant to join our busy Accounts department at our Group's headquarters in Belton, Grantham.

Working closely with and as a key part of the Accounts team, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day accounting for a particular site. It encompasses financial and management accounting and costing tasks, with the job holder being responsible for the preparation of the monthly accounts pack in accordance with the agreed timetable. The job holder is also responsible for the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and capital expenditure tracking. The job holder will also support the head of operations for the sites preparations for presentations to the Board of Directors.

Purpose: Key Roles and Responsibilities

Production of financial and non-financial management information for senior management.

Analysis of business performance, identifying variances to budget and their causes.

Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Capital expenditure tracking and reporting.

Project accounting tasks and liaison with both the Commercial & Project teams.

Provide support to external auditors at year end.

To support the Annual stock take and the subsequent analysis thereof.

Support the Group Financial Controller as required.

Assisting the site head of operations in the monthly presentation to the Board of Directors.

Any other reasonable task delegated by management

Requirements
  • The successful candidate is likely to be either qualified or at the least at the later stages of their professional examinations (ACCA or CIMA).
  • Applications from QBEs may be considered, depending on their experience.
  • Candidates with experience of manufacturing is highly desirable, although not essential.
  • The successful candidate is likely to have broad experience and be comfortable with both financial and management accounting. They must be proficient in all elements of MS Office and in particular Excel.
  • The successful candidate may be expected to visit our Wellingborough facility if and when needed.
