Introduction
A finance and accounting firm located in Germiston is seeking a Bookkeeper with at least seven years' experience within a Bookkeeping role to join their team.
Job Purpose
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements and handling intercompany loan accounts and transactions between our group of companies.

- National Senior Certificate
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience required
- Minimum of 7 years of bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities and duties
- Maintain accurate financial records, including bookkeeping, reconciliations and journal entries.
- Ensuring timely payments and collections of accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports.
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
- Maintain compliance with tax laws and regulations including submission of returns.
- Assist with audits and other financial reporting requirements.
- Provide support to the accounting team as needed.
- Manage intercompany loan accounts and transactions between our group of companies.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare intercompany invoices and ensure proper recording of intercompany transactions.
- Perform any other duties required that could be expected from the position.
