Overview:
As an Accounts Receivable Manager in the Steel Industry, your primary responsibility is to manage customer payments, ensure timely collection, and maintain accurate customer accounts receivable records. Additionally, you will be responsible for reconciling customer accounts, monitoring credit limits, and keeping customers under credit check.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts receivable function for the Steel Industry, including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliations
- Work closely with customers to ensure timely payments and resolve any issues related to payments or invoices
- Monitor customer credit limits and ensure compliance with credit policies
- Conduct regular credit reviews of customers and make recommendations on changes to credit limits or terms
- Work closely with the sales team to resolve any issues related to customer accounts or payments
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of accounts receivable activity
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts receivable function
- Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in the steel industry or a related field
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with credit risk management and credit analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / EXCEL and accounting software like Tally / SAP / ERP
