Job Description:

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the organization,
ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards, and providing accurate and timely
financial information to support decision-making. You will work closely with the finance team and
other departments to maintain financial records, prepare financial reports, and contribute to the
the overall financial health of the organization.



Responsibilities:

Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including
accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including profit and loss
statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial statements as
required.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic
financial forecasts, providing analysis and recommendations to ensure financial targets are
met.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations, including timely
filing of tax returns, preparation of tax calculations, and coordination with external tax
advisors, if necessary. It will also include assisting with compliance with other laws including
labour as applicable to the organization.
Expense Management: Monitor and control expenses, review invoices and expense claims
, and ensure adherence to expense policies and procedures.
Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets,
prevent fraud, and ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
Audits and Compliance: Assist in the coordination of internal and external audits, provide
necessary documentation and support to auditors, and address any audit findings or
recommendations.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, interpret data, and provide insights to
management on financial performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Cash Management: Monitor cash flows, prepare cash flow projections, and optimize cash
utilization to support operational needs and maintain adequate liquidity.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such
as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are preferred.
Proven experience working as an Accountant for 2-3 years, preferably in a start-up or small-
to-medium-sized organization.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax
regulations in India.

Proficiency in Tally and MS Office applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet
deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with stakeholders at
various levels.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
