My client is seeking a Professional Senior Finance Officer to join their dynamic team.
The main purpose of the job is to provide an efficient and professional service to thecentralized financial management and administration unit.

Responsibilities for the Senior Finance Officer is but not limited to:

Financial Reporting, Analysis & Fund Management

• Assist with the management of Finance Service Level Agreements (SLA)
• Prepare financial information and audit packs.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports.
• Track spending rules, budget allocations and deliverables.
• Maintain financial authorization procedures.
• Ensure journals, invoice and receipt requisitions are prepared and checked for submission.
• Monitor financial statement and responsible for the review of financial statements to funders.

Budgeting

• Provide guidance and assistance to all researchers with the developmentof budgets & costing of proposals.
• Ensure that cost recovery items are charged accordingly to projects.
• Review budgets to be submitted to funders.
• Review contracts and payment schedules.
• Understanding cost drivers and various costing models.
• Provide guidance on forex transactions.
• Staff Management

Qualifications

• A tertiary level accounting qualification (BCom degree or other equivalentAccounting/Management Accounting /Costing qualification);
• At least 5 years' financial/management accounting experience in a large ormedium size organizational environment
