Senior Accountant with Payroll Function Needed for Financial Firm based in Sandton

Position available for a dynamic individual in the financial services sector as a Senior Accountant to assist and manage financial portfolios of independent funds within the group and handle the complete payroll function.

Job Title: Senior Accountant
Remuneration: R 37 500 Gross

We are looking for an individual who is able to prioritise tasks, has a sense of urgency and works very diligently. They will be in a team that consists of 6 team members so they will also need to be a great team player. The candidates will have to be extremely comfortable running with the payroll function as this will need to be done for 7 companies totalling an amount of +/- 80 employees.

You will be reporting to the CFO, and will be responsible for the following:

Your duties will inter alia include the following:

• Management Accounts (for 7 Companies)
• Cashbook processing
• Customer invoicing (statement distribution)
• Capturing of supplier invoices
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts
• VAT recons
• Journal processing
• Age analysis for both suppliers and customers and reconciliation
• Fixed asset register & depreciation
• Interest schedule
• Preference share schedule
• Management accounts including a Mauritius account
• Payments (and cash flow management)
• Paylist and releaser for 7 Companies
• Tax Submissions (6 Companies and Pension Funds)
• This includes reconciliation of tax offices (bank accounts) for EMP and DWT
• VAT
• Income Tax
• Provisional Tax

• DWT
• Third Party Submissions (IT3b, IT3c, INS, EMP501)
