Full Time: 40 hours/week

We are currently hiring for a dependable Accounts Payable Clerk with an outgoing personality, willing to aggressively research and resolve issues independently, with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality results in a team environment. This position will be located out of the Company's corporate office in Richmond, VA, and will be responsible for performing accounts payable duties and supporting the accounting team.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an office setting.
- Basic understanding of accounting and accounts payable processes.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Experience with Yardi or other similar accounting software.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately enter data is required.
- Ability to research invoices, account balances, payments etc.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve mail from the Post Office.
- Open and distribute mail to appropriate department and personnel.
- Support accounting team by preparing checks and other correspondence to be mailed and dropped off at the Post Office or other carriers, such as UPS or FedEx.
- Coding and entering invoices.
- Sort and mail check payments.
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure vendor compliance.
- Provide administrative support to other members of the accounting department.
- Any additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor and/or the accounting team.
