SENIOR FORENSIC AUDITOR
Job Advert Summary
The Senior Forensic Auditor will be responsible for conducting forensic investigations, determining the facts of the fraudulent/ corrupt and/ or other activities at the company, ensuring that perpetrators are held accountable, thus enabling a zero tolerant ethos and mindset enterprise-wide; where fraud, corruption, unethical behaviour and/ or non-compliance are unacceptable.
Minimum Requirements
NQF level 7 relevant qualification i.e. Accounting/ Legal Degree with completed articles.
Membership in good standing, of the Institute of Commercial Forensic Practitioners (ICFP) or Association of Certified Fraud
Examiners (ACFE) and / or other relevant memberships, eg. Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) required.
Minimum of 5 to 8 years practical working experience post articles, in forensic investigations.
Sound knowledge of legislation i.e. PRECCA, UK Bribery Act, FCPA, Criminal Procedure Act and of the principles of
corporate governance and related practices.
Knowledge of criminal- / civil and disciplinary proceedings.
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels throughout the organisation.
Coherent concise report writing skills with convincing presentation skills required.
Strong proficient analytical skills, good judgment ability and able to work independently with little to no oversight.
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills and ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks under stressful conditions.
Good management skills and ability to work well with people.
Computer literacy proficiency (MS Office).
Knowledge of data analytics, SAP and TeamMate+ will be an advantage.
Able and willing to travel between operations and/ or other destinations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct complex investigations in terms of the methodology, legislation and required standards.
Gather, review and analyse data in support of investigations, interview and obtain statements.
Prepare and write concise, accurate and constructive reports on investigations conducted.
Represent the company or testify in internal disciplinary hearings and / or criminal or other legal proceedings.
Liaise with internal, external audit and law enforcement agencies when necessary.
Ensure forensic audit functions in assigned area of responsibility are carried out.
Provide concise and meaningful updates to the Group Head: Forensic Audit, thus promoting teamwork and achievement of
departmental objectives and goals.
Manage and perform skills transfer to junior staff members.
Drive the one company Group Internal Audit ethos
