Investment Officer X2 - Gauteng, Halfway House
Are you a driven and ambitious Investment Officer looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a talented individual with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering, and 3-5 years of experience in appraising, negotiating, and closing Project Finance, Corporate Finance, or Structured Finance transactions in a financial institution.
The ideal candidate will have experience securing infrastructure investment deals in relevant sectors/geographies in Africa and be able to initiate and develop new business strategies to create a pipeline of development impact projects, ensuring deal flow and bankability. You should have a successful track record in leading project teams with high-level stakeholders and qualified professionals, as well as experience using financial models.
You should also have comprehensive knowledge of the complex financial and regulatory environments in Africa, in-depth understanding of the infrastructure market, financial markets, and the macro landscape, and demonstrable experience in identifying client challenges and finding innovative solutions. Your communication and negotiation skills should be second to none, and you should be able to work with senior stakeholders in highly political environments.
The role may require flexibility to be deployed to other business units if required, and desirable requirements include a post-graduate qualification such as a CA, CFA or MBA.
