Interaction Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a well established client in the Construction Sector in their search for a Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to be based near Bedford, Bedfordshire.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, typical duties include:

Processing subcontractor/purchase ledger invoices to ensure prompt payment to suppliers
Reconciling supplier statements
Resolve queries
Ensure all invoices are VAT compliant
Work to monthly deadlines to support the accounts team
Prepare payment runs
Support with internal/external audits
Other adhoc duties to support the team
Applications are welcomed from candidates wth the following skills and experience:

Experience of purchase ledger is essential - knowledge of CIS would be advantageous

Previous experience of a construction environment would be useful

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team is essential

Resilient individual who is self motivated and likes to be busy and challenged.

IT Literate - Ideally with Microsoft Excel, COINs and other bespoke systems

This is a full time, office based role (although 1 day per week from home is possible)
