Accountancy Practice - Audit & Accounts Senior - Full or Part Time

Your new firm
You will be working with a highly regarded and long established firm of chartered accountants based in St Helens. The firm have gone from strength to strength in the last 18 months or so and seen an increase in demand for their services across both Audit and Accounts. This has lead them to require the appointment of an experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to assist in the high quality and standards of work.

Your new role
As an Audit and Accounts Senior you will be required to manage a portfolio of clients from a variety of sectors with turnovers in the main up to £5Million however some are larger and fall into the audit realm. You will liaise with these clients ensuring a timely delivery of services and manage the relationship in a professional manner. This role will see you identify complex accounting and tax matters, dealing with them where appropriate and referring them on to the Directors when necessary as well as leading audits from planning to completion. Staff supervision will also be a part of this role as you will be responsible for delegating and reviewing work.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to undertake this role you will ideally be ACA/ ACCA qualified and must have worked within an accountancy practice for at least 3 years. During this time you must have gained experience preparing the end to end statutory accounts for clients and auditing businesses. Prior knowledge of both corporation and personal tax will be advantageous in this role. Cloud based software is used regularly at this firm so exposure to Xero, Digita, Sage or Freeagent would be beneficial.

The firm are open to considering both full time and part time options - they work core hours of 10 - 16:00 and finish early on a Friday. There is the option to work from home on occasion but this role will, in the main be office based.
