Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively seeking for a Supervisor - Consolidation, Audit & Treasury. This position coordinates and provides supervision over the monthly consolidation and close activities for timeliness, accuracy and completeness. This position is responsible for the global consolidation of the Company's Financial Statements and the internal financial reporting package. Using a firm understanding of our entity structure, general ledger and financial systems, this position drives process improvements and efficiencies while ensuring the integrity of the process and the data. This position partners with the Corporate Accounting team, Finance and the Business Units to support the consolidations and internal/external reporting and audit process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide oversight and lead the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation of global financial statements
  • Responsible for the preparation, review and distribution of the Company's financial reporting package
  • Ensure compliance, provide training and oversee/approve changes to Corporate developed accounting policies & procedures, updating corresponding disclosures as necessary.
  • Ensure all External and Internal Reporting basis reflects US GAAP, Statutory, and Management Reporting as required, displaying a solid understanding of the differences between US GAAP and IFRS
  • Monitor cross-functional business activities to ensure timely identification of accounting and financial reporting matters. Research and prepare high quality memorandums to advise senior management on appropriate US GAAP treatment and best practices for contemplated business transactions.
  • Support the accounting for acquisitions and the successful integration of general ledger and reporting
  • Maintain the Company's master chart of accounts and reporting hierarchy, providing training, guidance and approval to users across the company
  • Support the adherence to ASC 842 by review of monthly lease entries by region to ensure accuracy
  • Lead the Company's pursuit of global consistency, increased automation and best practices as it relates to manual and system-based accounting for consolidation, reporting, eliminations, intercompany and foreign currency transactions.
  • Partner closely with external auditors to smoothly facilitate annual audits for the Global Group Audit according to US GAAP and local GAAPs. This includes coordination of all preparatory activities and supporting Global finance managers.
  • Support the Financial Planning & Analysis function on analyses and research related to the global accounting process. Work with FP&A team to ensure Budgeting and Forecasting capability is aligned with Closing & Reporting procedures
  • Provide supervision and serve as back-up for Corporate Treasury accounting and banking transactions


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in accounting required
  • Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or eligibility to gain accreditation required with experience in a public accounting firm highly preferred; Large, multinational manufacturing clients a plus
  • 5 years preferred relevant experience with consolidation of financial reports and strong technical accounting and reporting competencies


Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Professional experience in completion or auditing of consolidated financial reports and group reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Experience performing independent research/analysis associated with accounting and regulatory pronouncements and the impact to Company financial statements
  • Proven ability to provide guidance, training and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication (both written and oral) and collaboration skills required
  • Must be able to prioritize function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to affect change


Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required. SAP experience with FI and CO modules. Data Analytics experience with Power B.I. or similar application.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
