Finance Director Opportunity - Successful SME Manufacturing Company £60,000 to £70,000 ++ Hybrid/Colchester

This is a great opportunity for a commercially focused Qualified accountant with broad experience within the manufacturing/distribution sector to join a highly successful Colchester based manufacturing business as Finance Director. The business is growing organically and by acquisition and has exciting growth plans.

Your new role
The Finance Director will be joining the management team of a highly successful and well established business, with an excellent reputation, to lead finance and also have responsibility for other business support areas such as, business administration and IT.
The Finance Director will take ownership for finance, ensure financial integrity and timely reporting, provide key insight, analysis and high quality timely reporting to drive cost management and profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities include

• Manage and develop the finance function; its people, processes, controls and reporting
• Ensure accuracy and integrity in statutory and management reporting
• Review and develop cost accounting and reporting
• Stock management
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Working capital management with accurate cashflow reporting
• Influence business strategy
• Review and develop IT systems

What you'll need to succeed
The Finance Director will be a qualified accountant with broad experience within the manufacturing/distribution sector
They will have broad technical knowledge and sound commercial acumen
Be a confident communicator, able to build rapport, and not afraid to ask questions, influence and shape business strategy.
Analytical, with strong IT skills, able to capture and manipulate data to support and influence business decisions and drive profitability.
Proactive, with a real interest in process improvement and IT development to drive efficiency.
Experience of or ability to manage and develop a small team.
A "can do attitude" and happy to be "hands on" as required.

What you'll get in return
The Finance Director will be offered a highly competitive salary, depending on experience and qualification, in the region of £60,000 to £70,000 plus car allowance, bonus, pension, life assurance, health care insurance, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and hybrid.
