Financial Accountant - Manufacturer - £50,000 + Hybrid Working + Free Parking

A listed manufacturer based just outside of Manchester City Centre is looking for a financial accountant to join their growing finance function. This firm is a leader in its field and has global Presence in the manufacturing market.

Your new role
As financial accountant your primary responsibilities will include the provision of accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting in accordance with the corporate reporting calendar. The role has responsibility for performing the month end closing steps, ensuring that accounting transactions are booked in accordance with applicable accounting standards, reconciling general ledger accounts and preparing the balance sheet account reconciliations for all in-scope entities. This position will be responsible for compliance with all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements defined by IFRS or statutory GAAP. The role also has responsibility for the preparation of in-scope legal entity statutory accounts and annual tax returns. Furthermore, this role reports to the Head of Record to Report and provides support to the Business Units and other Group Functions as necessary with regards to preparing budgets and forecasts, and the provision of financial analysis to guide business and operational decisions.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a full qualified (ACA/ACCA) accountant who is looking to make their first step from industry into practice. You'll be fluent in English and have the ability to speak in another European language is an advantage. Experience of SAP-FI/-CO is preferable. Alongside this you'll have excellent attention to detail, great communication skills be an overall team player who is capable of working alongside peers in the finance function.
