Are you passionate about the arts Do you thrive in a dynamic and creative environment? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Finance Manager to join a prestigious arts organisation and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our institution.
As the Finance Manager, you will be an integral part of a dedicated and diverse team, working alongside a centralised finance team while taking ownership of the finance for your department. This standalone role will offer you the chance to bring your expertise to the table, implementing strategies and making a significant impact on our organization's financial success.

Role responsibilities:

Financial Processing
Oversee processing of weekly and monthly departmental payroll
Work with the administrative and healthcare teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and other departmental expenditure
Work with the central Finance Team, to ensure complete and accurate transaction processing and payment of suppliers
Work as a member of the Finance Team with a view to improving the quality and timeliness of management and financial information, and the effectiveness of control and reporting systems across the House

Reporting
Provide the Administrative Director and key managers with accurate and timely financial information
Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts including payroll and production forecasts and variance reports
Reconcile designated balance sheet accounts on a quarterly basis
Monitor project income, costs and commitments against budgets
Calculate annual Theatre Tax Credit data for submission to ROH Finance
Complete surveys, statistical returns, cost reports and similar documents required by stakeholders or funders, as required

Financial Planning
Prepare and update production, tour and payroll budget reports from information provided by the Administrative Director
Provide financial support to managers and heads of departments to assist them to operate within agreed budgets and identify the financial impact of business changes
Assist the Administrative Director with ad hoc projects and analysis, as required.

Teamwork/Continuous Improvement
Support as needed projects designed to improve the efficiency of the day to day running of The Royal Ballet and the departments you support
Adhere to department procedures, confidentiality and data protection protocols, and working practices and work to given priorities.
Take an active role in aiding senior managers and team members understanding of their financial responsibilities
Work to the highest standards of team working and collaboration within the department and the rest of the organisation
Maintain own skills and knowledge of the relevant systems and maintain own continuing professional development (CPD)
Uphold the ROH Values and Behaviours and support our goals for diversity and inclusion

Skills required:

Accounting qualification (ACCA/ CIMA), part qualified or Qualified by experience
People skills; communicating with stakeholders
Workload Management skills
