Temporary Assistant Payments Manager
To provide an Payments Management service that ensures customer demands are received in a controlled and timely manner, efficient processing of payments, maximising use of technology and designing processes to ensure service delivery of payment activities.
To contribute to the provision of a modern, professional and responsive service to support NIHE business delivery and our vision and values as outlined below:
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
1. Possess one of the following qualifications or equivalent;
1. The final examinations of AAT(Level 4**) or IATI (Level 5**),
2. The foundation papers of a CCAB body (Level 5**),
3. A relevant degree (Level 6) in a relevant subject e.g. Accounting, Finance, Business
Exceptionally, candidates who do not hold one of the above qualifications but who can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development/experiential learning and at least 3 years working in a supervisory role in a transaction processing environment may also be shortlisted.
1. Can demonstrate at least 2 years’ experience of working in a Finance / transaction processing environment to include;
1. The use of a management system in a transaction processing environment
2. Advanced spreadsheets skills.
3. Providing reports to senior management to assist with financial decision making.
4. Understanding of double entry bookkeeping
1. Experience of successfully managing and leading a team to deliver business objectives. (To be assessed at Interview/Assessment)
1. Can demonstrate:
* Excellent planning and organisational skills
* Ability to work accurately under pressure of multiple deadlines
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Strong customer orientation
* Excellent attention to detail
Desirable
1. Can demonstrate experience of working in a payments environment
