The Opportunity

Due to an internal movement, we are now looking for an Asset Team Lead to join our Shared Services Team based in our corporate office in Burnside.

In this role you will:

Supervise centralised asset tasks.

Manage and supervise the asset team administrators, ensuring workloads are balanced and team members receive appropriate training, support.

Build and maintain relationships with key internal Stakeholders.

Assist with resolution of queries, liaise with all stakeholders and suppliers, existing and new.

Work closely with the Transactional Accounting Manager to ensure the Asset team is aligned with the rest of the Transactions team.

Champion the ongoing continuous improvement of the asset tasks for the business by regular review of all tasks and also looking at any new technology that can be utilised.

Assist in enabling improvements to the financial system and development of accounting policy.

Provide a professional service and promote the Shared Service Centre by working collaboratively and in conjunction with all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed of any changes potentially affecting their areas.

Support and lead the Asset team in the following activities:

Recording and controlling the physical records and financial activities related to the assets of the company in the appropriate financial systems.

Collection of accounts payable vouchers and other documentation required for asset and lease setup.

As a member of the SSC team, you are responsible for driving our team culture, values and engagement.

What you'll bring to the table

Minimum 4 years of similar work-related experience across business administration

General understanding of office administration within a large organisation

Proficient in programs and products, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills, ability to simultaneously prioritise tasks to achieve business service level agreements.

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, both large and small, working towards a common goal over lengthy periods

Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures

Awareness of applicable regulatory standards and compliance requirements of accounting practices

Ability to prioritise, organise and schedule time critical workloads.

Leadership skills and ability to develop others

Previous Team/People management experience preferable
