A permanent Finance Manager job paying up to £45k for a small business based in rural Worcester.

Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are working exclusively with a small but successful organisation based in Worcester as they look to appoint a Finance Manager on a permanent basis.

Your new role
In this all-encompassing, hands-on number one role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information whilst constantly looking for ways to drive efficiencies within the business.

Main duties:

  • Managing and forecasting cash flow on a daily basis
  • Developing systems to account for financial transactions
  • Posting of journals
  • Supporting with the monthly payroll process which includes the input and checking of information
  • Delivery of regular and ad hoc financial reporting, planning and analysis including budgets, forecasts and year-end information
  • Support stakeholders with the development of performance KPIs
  • Assist in the preparation for the annual financial audit
  • Liaise with external banks and Accountants to support compliance
  • Contract management and purchasing
  • Mentoring and development of finance staff

What you'll need to succeed

  • AAT qualified or QBE
  • Experience of providing rigorous day-to-day financial management and control
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • High attention to detail
  • Organisational and planning skills
  • Staff management and development
  • Competent with MS Office and working knowledge of finance systems (Xero highly desirable)
