Our finance team are looking for 2 Industrial Placement students who want to be part of our Industrial Placement scheme where you’ll gain full exposure of our Finance department.

What’s in it for you:

You’ll have the opportunity to experience how critical the finance team is to support Aston Martin in the business objectives and overall strategy. You’ll gain invaluable experience working cross-functionally with key support functions such as IT, Legal, HR, and other departments and get to understand, assess, and analyse the financial impacts of business decisions. You’ll get a clear understanding of how each department interlinks into building our ultra-luxury performance cars. 

What you’ll gain:

The scheme will ensure you develop and gain invaluable experience of the practical applications of finance theory and accounting principles, real-life insight into the automotive industry and help you build a skillset which will support you in the completion of your degree.

You will have the opportunity for exposure across the wider finance and accounting functions which will help you learn and contextualise a finance orientated career.

You’ll deliver on crucial projects where you’ll work to multiple and conflicting deadlines giving you full a full well-rounded view of the finance department.

At the end of your placement, subject to your performance you could have an opportunity to comeback to Aston Martin and join our graduate scheme.

The scheme:

This is an industrial placement and only open to students who are returning to their final year of study after their placement with us.

Timescales

• Week 1 – Onboarding
• Week 2 – You’ll join the finance department and work in the different departments that form the wider finance team.

What you need to join the Aston Martin Graduate Scheme:

• 128 UCAS points at A-Level or in an equivalent qualification
• A minimum 2:1 predicted degree (ideally Finance-oriented but not essential).
• Strong numeracy skills and a high proficiency sing Excel
• Aspiration/commitment to pursue a career within finance/accounting
• You’ll have excellent attention to detail with the ability to build rapport and communicate clearly at all levels.
• Commutable to Gaydon – this is a fully onsite role.
• Be able to start on Monday 4^th September 2023 and commit for one full year.
