Your new role

Reporting to the Assistant Finance Director, The Finance Manager will manage and lead Income and Payment team in the provision of high quality customer focused service that includes accounting for the organisation's income and expenditure, managing the gift aid bureau and the preparation of statutory accounts. Line management of 6 staff.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a fully qualified accountant with proven abilities in the management of all aspects of charity income and expenditure, financial reporting functions and good knowledge of relevant legislation. You will be an effective leader and understand how to get the best from the people in their team.

Looking for a candidate who will be able to demonstrate:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Team management experience
  • Financial accounting including annual accounts preparation
  • Good technical financial accounting skills and thorough understanding of relevant accounting standards, including FRS 102 and Charities SORP, Gift Aid
  • Experience of working for a charity desirable
