As a Contract Manager based in Invercargill you will be across our Civil and Maintenance Contracts. You will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and performance of the contract. The key responsibilities in this role include:
  • Delivery of the contract to an exceptionally high standard
  • Reporting to both our clients and Downer management on all aspects of the performance
  • Ensuring the delivery of activities meet the expectations of our customers
  • Management of staff and supply chain partners to achieve the best outcomes for Downer and our customers
  • Ensuring the financial health of our contract

Within this role we do require you to have some experience and skills so we can ensure your success:
  • As a leader and managing contracts, you will have awareness of contract law - but we can further develop you in this area
  • Leading teams that have successfully delivered on projects
  • You have worked within a senior leadership team, where your experience will enable you to contribute and continue to drive a high level of service and achievement
  • You understand the term financial acumen and understand how to read and interpret profit and loss statements
  • Analysis of data through reporting and you can easily articulate and present key findings and implications and make informed decisions though your analysis
  • You are situationally aware; where you can see things that matter in terms of the work we do and prioritise these to ensure we get the best outcomes for our people, organisation and our clients
