Assistant Accountant based in Birmingham - Up to £30k - Study Support

Your new role
Due to demand and growth, they are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant, this role will report into the Finance Controller.

Key duties include:
- Supporting the Senior Accountant and Management Accountant
- Sales and Purchase Ledger monitoring, reconciling and month-end closures
- Accruals and Prepayment postings
- VAT returns and audit related tasks
- Aiding the payment process
- Supervising Accounts team

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Highly motivated and well organised
- Previous experience supervising a team
