The Role

The role of Financial Accountant will be the senior person in the controllership team and be responsible for the following:

• Prepare timely & accurate monthly financial statements for 5 entities in the Group
• Manage the year end audit and Statutory Financial statement preparation
• Manage IFRS16 software system
• Assist with cost centre budgeting & forecasting
• Tax compliance including FBT & GST and liaise with external tax advisors on income tax requirements.
• Oversee GL & balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain customer rebate calculations and reporting thereon
• Review R&M and capital expenditure to ensure correct accounting treatment
• Ensure the integrity of the systems and internal controls environment.
• Oversee the two junior accountants
• Other ad hoc duties as required.

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this role, we are looking for ideally a CA qualified Accountant who has commercial experience ideally in manufacturing or inventory related industries. You will be someone who is looking for a career with a large business where you can develop your skills. You will need to have the following attributes:

• Self starter who can show initiative & drive
• Ability to problem solve
• Strong technical accounting capability.
