About Us
We are a venture-backed material science company from Cambridge University (UK) that transforms waste-derived collagen (from the food industry) into a sustainable leather substitute that is cow-free and plastic-free. As our leather is made of collagen, we are able to achieve an authentic look and feel similar to real leather, which can be processed within the existing leather supply chain as a ‘drop-in’ solution, to achieve the high-finishing standards needed by our fashion clients. More importantly, our material excels beyond real leather in that it can significantly reduce water consumption, carbon footprint, land use and waste generated in the manufacturing process in comparison to traditional leather.
