About the Role:
The Category Finance Manager is the gatekeeper of the P&L for the Ready Meals portfolio across ANZ.
The role owns financial reporting through the Monthly Performance Review & Forecasting processes- is responsible for developing the annual operating plan- and working cross-functionally (with Revenue Management- Category Development- Sales- Marketing and Operations) to deliver the year and plan the future.

About the Role:
The Category Finance Manager is the gatekeeper of the P&L for the Ready Meals portfolio across ANZ.
The role owns financial reporting through the Monthly Performance Review & Forecasting processes- is responsible for developing the annual operating plan- and working cross-functionally (with Revenue Management- Category Development- Sales- Marketing and Operations) to deliver the year and plan the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering the Year
- Preparing and analysing actual performance using variance analysis to arrive at root causes
- Work cross-functionally with Sales & Trade Finance to vet financials of customer-facing opportunities and assess trade spend issues
- Act as the gatekeeper of the P&L by challenging team to optimize financial results and paybacks
- Add value to the business by ensuring cross-functional team receives timely information and understand its implication to support great business decisions
Corporate Reporting
- Central finance tasks to complete actual and forecast report preparation
- Own the Monthly Performance Reporting- ensuring that business drivers of performance vs plan and prior year are clearly understood and communicated to key stakeholders using Price Volume Mix analysis
- Zone reporting requirements
- Zero Based Budgeting: monthly reporting of assigned packages for fixed selling costs
Planning the Future
- Preparing inputs for and analysing financial forecast- Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan including zero based budgeting
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing in development of innovation P&Ls
- Work cross-functionally with Operations to enable complete business reporting and understanding
About You:
- 5+ year's work experience that compliments financial training- experience in FCMG an asset
- Bachelor's Degree - Accounting/Finance or related discipline is desirable
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Access is a plus
- Systems knowledge a plus: Tableau- Demantra- JDA- SAP- IRi tools (i.e. Temple- UNIFY)- Quantium
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen to assess data and arrive at root cause- with ability to succinctly explain key drivers to senior audience
- Ability to think strategically about data and translate this thinking into the "so what"
- Problem-solving mentality with ability to navigate a high pace environment
