Your new company
Hays are excited to be working with a well known company based in the FMCG industry, they are looking to recruit a Junior Finance Business Partner to their team.
This position would suit a dynamic part-qualified individual looking to further their career within a hybrid working environment.
Your new role
Working as a Junior Finance Business Partner, your duties within the role will include the following;
- Investigating variances in volumes and profitability
- Provide input into budget and forecasting process with the Commercial teams
- Collaborating with the Management Account teams
- Co-ordinate the monthly reporting and forecasting cycle
- Be responsible for consolidation of financial data from all systems in a relevant format so that the business is able to make commercial decisions.
- Challenging and influencing the sales team on customer volume
- Work with the business partners to drive increased value into the customer account.
- Evaluating new business proposals, ensuring accurate inputs and supporting the commercial team through the process.
- Provide cover for the Business Partners at key meetings if required.
- Seeking to identify and implement improvements in the commercial review process, including the monthly demand review, weekly volume analysis.
- Provide key input into the monthly review providing insight into customers and challenging the commercial team as to how to improve results.
- Working with the commercial team to identify all commercial opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Working with Financial Accounting and Commercial team to review, assess and where appropriate sign off the month end accruals position for each customer every month.
- Providing support to the sales team providing analysis and insight as a result of customer requests.
- Ensure that all documentation is appropriately filed and controlled so that access is given only to those that need it
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate would be;
- Working towards a recognised Accountancy qualification such as CIMA or ACCA
- Intermediate Excel and strong analytical skills
- Ideally some experience in an FMCG environment
- Analytical problem solver with attention to detail
- Able to effectively communicate with many different types of people
