A great opportunity to join a reputable organisation, within the education sector. This will be a temporary role for a period of 6 months, with the possibility to go permanent.

Your new role

• Responsible for the administration of all bank accounts.
• Posting receipts and payments to bank accounts
• Reconciliation of bank accounts on a daily, weekly or monthly basis
• Processing and reconciling account transactions

• Preparing and submitting BACS payments
• Generating and posting remittance advices
• Processing ad hoc CHAPS payments as and when required

• Checking, posting and banking cash receipts

Payroll

• Collect and record timesheets.
• Prepare employees' compensation
• Load payment files each month
• Report on payroll expenses
• Ensure correct payment and filing of returns for taxes and pensions
• Answer payroll related queries.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience of working in a finance office
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
• Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

• Experience of processing payroll (desirable)

• £27,000 - £32,000 annual salary
• Up to 6 months temporary contract
• You will gain experience of payroll and working within a higher education finance team
