The Role

We are currently looking for a Project Accountant to act as a business partner within our Homecare team. You will work closely with key stakeholders in the Finance team and Project Managers from across the Product Group to analyse data from all parts of the business, evaluate return on investment, create reports, and streamline processes. This pivotal role will provide valuable information to enable strategic decision making to assure our continued growth and success.

The role provides a high degree of hands on variety while managing the process from end-to-end. It will offer exposure to a diverse range of projects and areas and you will develop knowledge of the company, industry and its products to be able to offer innovative solutions to the business for both existing and new products.

About you

To be successful in this position you will have:
  • CIMA, CPA, CA qualification or equivalent with 5 years' post qualification work experience
  • Exceptional excel skills and high attention to detail
  • Experience supporting and evaluating large complex Capital projects, with competing priorities
  • Understanding of the true cost of purchasing large assets, including ROI calculations
  • Ability to analyse and report on large amounts of data
  • Continuous improvement mindset suggesting areas for improvement and lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to business partner and manage challenging conversations with senior executives
  • SAP and PowerBI experience is beneficial
  • Ideally from a manufacturing or construction background

Your effective communication and interpersonal skills will be critical to engage and influence with diverse teams to ensure projects are financially viable. Your inquisitive nature and self-starter approach will allow you to be involved in helping the business make the right financial decisions.
