KwaZulu Natal, Durban Morningside. Established concern providing financial planning seeks competent Employee Benefits Specialist with solid experience in employee benefits (e.g. Provident Funds) and some knowledge of Medical Aids and Gap Cover. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and conduct a Board of Management meetings after receiving the review documents from insurance company
• Assisting the Fund in switching from one investment to another or from one Investment Manager to the other
• Draft and update service level agreements
• Peruse the various fund documents produced by insurance companies to ensure that they reflect the client requirements
• Where necessary, hold discussions with any official or body concerning the affairs of the fund
• Re-quote for each fund every 24months to ensure cost competitiveness
• Prepare quotations for new schemes and prepare recommendations of best route for clients
• Provide the Board of Management with periodic investment reviews and reports, in line with the service level agreements
• Help in establishing the Board of Management and ensuring the new members are properly trained
• Implement a formal client recognition program for clients e.g. birthday messages and familiarisation visits
• Monitor and / or update records of member of the fund, kept by the insurers
• Expedite the payment of fund contributions and submission of schedules from clients to insurers
• Update employee information onto insurers systems e.g. addition of new members
• Help the Employer complete claim forms and forward the necessary documents required in processing claims by the insurer
• Expedite the payment death, retirement, retrenchment or withdrawal claim by the insurers
• Provide benefit statements and values when requested
• Maintaining an effective and functional filling system

Requirements:

• Solid knowledge and experience in employee benefits (example Provident Funds)
• Must have some knowledge in terms of Medical Aids and Gap Cover
• RE1 preferred
