ROLE: Finance Manager
SALARY:
BAND 7, STARTING AT £41, 659
LOCATION:
Mansfield, NG18 4RG
I am currently working with Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust who are seeking to add a finance manager to their team.
The successful candidate will provide support to the Head of Financial Services across a range of services within Financial Accounting and Financial Services to meet the requirements of the Trust`s business. To manage and develop finance staff on a day-to-day basis to ensure that the financial services teams are providing efficient, high quality and customer focused functions.
The key responsibilities of this role will be;
o Prepare elements of monthly monitoring returns and ad hoc requests to regulatory bodies such as NHS England.
o Produce and develop monthly information for inclusion in the Board Report, highlighting and explaining areas of concern/variance.
o Prepare and complete elements of the statutory accounts and related returns, ensuring that work is completed in line with timescales, legal requirements and other guidance.
o Liaise with external and internal audit coordinating with the Head of Financial Services
o Assist with the implementation of audit recommendations, reviewing and redesigning processes where necessary.
o Analyse financial information for month end reporting and year end accounts.
o Provide charitable fund holders/managers and the Charity`s Trustee (the Trust Board), with financial and legislative advice.
o Provide training to finance staff and the wider Trust on charitable funds procedures.
o Direct, lead and motivate the finance staff reporting to the post holder. Recruit and train new members of staff where appropriate
To be considered for this role you must
o CCAB/CGMA passed finalist
o Broad and extensive business experience, with recognised expertise in a specialist financial area
o Comprehensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
o Comprehensive understanding of NHS financial environment, General Ledger and ancillary
finance systems
o Understanding and appreciation of organisation structure, business strategy and the work of other departments
