Bookkeeper Job Specification
Full-time, Permanent Position 37 hours per week
Location:
Halesowen
Jerroms are looking for a reliable bookkeeper, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who has proven experience in a similar role. As a bookkeeper you will support the client director.
Key responsibilities
The production and analysis of monthly management accounts with budget comparisons
Analysis work (using Excel)
Bank reconciliations
Reconciliations of control accounts (including debtors, creditors, payroll, VAT, PAYE/NIC and other payroll related controls
Preparations of month end/year end adjustments including prepayments, accruals, deferred
Income and depreciation
Bank, sales, purchase, and nominal ledger postings
The processing and reconciliation of employee expenses
Credit control
VAT returns/reconciliation/reporting
Cash flow reporting
Managing of client payrolls and pensions schemes
Preparation and posting of normal ledger journals and reserves
Fixed assets and depreciation accounting
Experience of multi-currency
Time recording and billing of clients
Skills Required
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
A detailed and thorough knowledge of Xero/ Sage software, including multi-currency
A strong academic background with good numerical and computer skills
AAT level 4 qualification (or relevant experience)
Good time management skills
Good communication skills
A methodical and attention to detail approach
The ability to meet deadlines on a monthly basis with flexibility on working hours
The ability to adapt to multiple clients procedures
