Robert Half Finance and Accounting is currently looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Finance Manager to join a highly successful global business based in Nottingham. For the right person, the client is offering a very competitive:

  • Overseeing the annual statutory accounts reporting processes for the company, ensuring that the consolidated report and accounts are submitted according to German GAAP and UK branch accounts, and complying with all required deadlines and regulations.
  • Managing the external audit relationship, ensuring that all auditor requirements are met accurately and on time.
  • Ensuring that the company's outsourced VAT compliance team provides an effective and efficient approach to managing the reporting and submission requirements across the company's multiple VAT registrations.
  • Overseeing the processes supporting the calculations of the margin attributable to brand owner entities to ensure that they are transparent and robust, and that they can stand up to scrutiny from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day order-to-cash, source-to-pay, and reporting processes, and providing support and escalation as required for the two accounting team leaders.
  • Controlling the monthly reporting process performed by the retained finance and IBM teams, ensuring that reporting to Group Finance is accurate and timely.
  • Providing periodic cash and working capital forecasts.
  • Overseeing finished goods inventory positions to identify and mitigate all excess and obsolescence risks.
  • Providing insightful data, information, and guidance to Global Supply Chain colleagues to assist in new developments and reporting requirements.
  • Ensuring that all the above activities are supported by a robust internal controls environment and that the company complies with all Group requirements in terms of controls reporting and testing.
  • Overseeing the performance of the retained finance team and managing and reviewing objectives and development plans accordingly.

Person specification:
  • High level understanding of IFRS
  • High level understanding of transfer pricing and VAT principles
  • Disciplined and strong accounting approach to ensure company accounting structures and transactions are properly established and maintained
  • Effective people manager in terms of ensuring all department deliverables are on track
  • Effective communicator with finance and non-finance stakeholders
