Finance Manager
Exciting opportunity for a successful and ambitious (ACCA or CIMA qualified or part-qualified) accountant to join a successful and growing company which specialises in the delivery of luxurious residential Garden Design, Landscape Architecture and Construction of bespoke projects in the super residential market.
The company
As a company renowned within the creative industry, they are expected to deliver a faultless service standards to the most discerning of clientele. The company was established in 2015 along with its sister company and together reached t/o of over £3m.They are undergoing a growth period requiring the strengthening and reinforcement of the administrative team.They are therefore looking to bring previously outsourced accounting and book-keeping services into the company in a full-time position.The new Finance Manager will play a key role with the new set-up.
The Role and responsibilities
Your role will be to manage the book-keeping, accounting and payroll functions within the company and work with the administrative team to support the Directors by providing a granularity of information sufficient to assist in making strategic decisions for the future.
Forming the sole accounting function of the businesses, your responsibilities will include the following:
Bank reconciliations expense and company card payments, receipt tracking and management of the sales and purchase ledgers. Preparing and maintaining financial reports on individual projects, providing monthly management accounts, including project performance and P&Ls.
Analyse company finances to determine risks and create cash-flow forecast and revenue reports.Maintain tax records for CIS, VAT and PAYE and ensure these are maintained up to date.Maintain asset registers and records.
As a member of the management team, you will work with the Office Manager to complete the onboarding and off-boarding of staff, controlling the employee time sheet function and managing the Payroll function of the companies.
Skills and experience required
The successful applicant will have an intimate working knowledge of Quickbooks accounting software and familiarity with the associated timesheet, record keeping and other QB linked software and apps sufficient to provide the businesses with advice on opportunities to make further enhancements and improvements to the accounting and administrative processes of the businesses.
Ultimately the Accountant should be at the centre of the office and business functions and work with the Directors to improve business performance with the quality of information provided.
Strong organisational skills and time management along with a natural proficiency in written and verbal communication will be an integral part of the successful candidates skill set as well as being able to work calmly and efficiently as part of a small team in a busy, but creative environment.
IT and technical
ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified or part qualified
Strong IT and MS Office experience
Full knowledge andexperience of accounting skill
