Dains Accountants are recruiting an apprentice to join our highly successful and expanding Audit team, in Birmingham. You will be in a prime City centre location working and learning from talented professionals of all levels, including Directors and Partners.

Q:WHAT IS AN APPRENTICESHIP?
An apprenticeship programme allows you to learn while you earn. The programme is designed for you to gain real work experience whilst studying for a professional qualification.
Q: WHAT QUALIFICATION WILL I STUDY?
You will study a CFAB qualification.
ICAEWCFAB isa stand-alone certificate-level qualification.
The CFAB can be the start of your journey towards gaining the ICAEW, ACA qualification.
Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
The CFAB course will take 18 months to complete, which you do whilst gaining vital commercial and professional experience working alongside Dains audit experts.

What will my main responsibilities be?
- To carry out client audit work under the direction of the Audit Senior or Semi Senior using the firms approach.
- To investigate and resolve problems arising during the audit under the supervision of the Audit Senior or Semi Senior.
- To gain familiarisation with the clients internal reporting and control procedures.
- To ensure the work is recorded in a clear and concise manner and working papers are legible and well presented.
- To bring to the attention of the Audit Senior or Semi Senior anything which is not understood, or which is inconsistent with expectations.
- To provide ad-hoc support to other members of the audit department as required.
Q: WHAT PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES DO I NEED?
- Minimum Grade B in Maths and English Language at GCSE level or equivalent
- Self-motivation and the ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent organisational skills
- A positive, pro-active and willing attitude
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- A flexible approach to working
