About Business Intelligence Unit:
The Business Intelligence Unit is a high profile team with a mandate to drive data based decisions within the bank. Reporting in to Head Banking Operations and Transformation, this department works with all businesses of the bank including retail, small business and corporate to drive analytics. In terms of functions, the department has teams focused on all aspects of analytics for the bank including risk analytics, financial crime analytics, business and marketing analytics, building predictive scores, data engineering and business reporting.
About the Role:
The Business Analyst is a part of the Analytics team primarily focusing on Banking products & services. The Analytics team is responsible for the end to end strategy, design/development and performance synthesis of all lending products for the bank Skills

Overview of Corporate Analytics team:
Corporate Analytics within Business Intelligence Unit at Axis Bank works with the senior management to drive key strategic initiatives across Corporate Banking space. The key imperatives are to track business performance, identify opportunity areas, and come up with desired strategies/solutions in areas of acquisition & portfolio management
Job Description:
Working and supporting SME Business vertical & Credit team
Understanding credit policies of the bank, creating credit models for corporates and helping credit & business team to reduce credit decisioning time
In-depth understanding of Bureau data, comfortable in understanding company financials and coming up with new variables splitting credit risk
To support business team in managing their portfolio risk and to create collection strategies
Work closely with stakeholders to see through end-to-end implementation of the model
Involves data preparation, model development, deployment, & maintenance
Present insightful weekly and monthly business review presentations that summarizes business and financial performance of the group
Skills required:
Education: BE/MBA/MSC in Economic, Mathematics/Statistics from Premier institute or Engineer from IIT/NIT
Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience. Experience in SME Business, Credit & Risk modelling or Financial service industry would be preferred
Comfortable in dealing with large datasets with hands on experience with data analysis tools (SAS EG, SQL, R, Python, etc) and expertise in MS Excel
Good understanding of statistical models like Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Forecasting, Decision trees
Ability to work cross-functionally with ambiguous problems to extract data-backed insights and find targeted solutions for effective implementation
Excellent communications skills and ability to influence senior leadership on strategic recommendations
Ability to prioritize tasks and produce top-quality deliverables in a time-sensitive manner
