Our products and services include advisory, financing, prime services, research and analysis, securities services, trading and sales and transaction banking.
Banking: Our sector-focused Banking relationship managers provide a single coverage point for multi-national clients. With our global capabilities and footprint, vast expertise and local knowledge, our Banking teams connect clients to the products and services that meet their global financial needs.
We are currently seeking an Analyst to support the relationship management team as part of Global Banking division in HSBC, Gurgaon.
Principal Responsibilities
  • To support the senior RMs in developing and managing the client relationships. For strong existing relationships this includes maintenance and penetration, for relatively newer relationship this includes support in business development efforts
  • To provide back-up to the frontline RMs in their absence such that all client facing activities can be managed
  • To provide support to clients for day-to-day transaction management over and above what is in the purview of GPS, GTRF teams
  • To work with the RMs and product teams towards formulating and delivering client strategy.
  • To work with RM and credit analyst unit teams to present cases to portfolio management for credit allocation committee approvals and if need be run with this independently in the absence of the RM
  • To work with RM to prepare and present cases which need ASP or Global reputational risk and client selection committee approvals
  • To work with CAU team and RMs to ensure that credit requirements of clients are promptly met (subject to risk approvals and related framework)
  • To monitor related MIS's and ensure that the portfolio remains disciplined and clients compliant in matters of documentation, covenant compliance, other credit exceptions, daily excess management and sanctions compliance.
  • To work with Credit Services in ensuring timely issuance, execution and perfection of client documentation
  • To work with Financial Crime Compliance, Legal and Tax and if need be product teams to manage client negotiation on all credit related documentation
  • To ensure that the clients and our interactions with them are in compliance with the existing regulatory guidelines. To support product / process / system rollouts related to any regulatory changes introduced by the regulators from time to time
  • To Build the Global Banking franchise value and reputation by ensuring that all responsibilties are executed flawlessly and HSBC promise delivered to the client in a timely, professional and cost efficient manner


Requirements
  • Self driven individual with ability to multi-task and manage time exceedingly well
  • High levels of integrity in client dealing
  • Robust knowledge / strong inclination to learn - bank systems, processes, key local regulations, product offering of HSBC, documentation
  • Strong understanding of corporate credit risk
  • Good communication and networking skills
  • Good Analytical and reasoning skills
  • Proficient in computer applications: Microsoft Office/Outlook etc

Educational Qualifications / Certification and Requirements:
  • Education background in Finance preferred. A post graduate degree / diploma is a pre-requisite
  • A qualified MBA from a premier institute / Chartered Accountant / Chartered Financial Analyst
  • Atleast 3-5 years of relevant work experience or in corporate banking client facing role preferred.
