Hutcheon Mearns are partnering with a leading Private Equity backed oil and gas operator to attract an experienced Joint Venture/ Cost Accountant. Our client offers this position on a fixed term contract of six months; however, the position may become permanent due to the growth and increased project activity across the business.
Our client offers a professional and collaborative culture within a prestigious Aberdeen city centre setting. Candidates looking for full time or part time (four days per week) will be considered. Hybrid working and flexibility around working hours is also offered.
Consideration will be given to driven individuals with a proven track record within a joint venture or cost control position. Candidates must have a proactive attitude and display superior communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant experience is required and previous exposure working within an operator role would be highly advantageous.

Overview:
- Management of banking facilities including all partner requests for funding and supplier payments, and preparation of a weekly cash summary position forecasts
- Prepare monthly joint venture billings and partner reports
- Provide information to Finance Manager and assist in the preparation of the monthly management reporting pack
- Provide information to Finance Manager and assist in the annual budget and quarterly reforecast processes
- Provide ad hoc financial information or analysis to support the project team
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for selected group legal entities
