A Finance Analyst role has now become available in the Central Technology team and is a highly visible role supporting the Engineering Supply Chain team. This role is Hybrid working 2 days a week in the amazing Hatfield Head offices and 3 days working from home!
You will be responsible for overseeing centrally procured spend of Mechanical Handling Equipment whilst business partnering with the supply chain team. You will also be working closely with project managers to track investments to scale up products at new suppliers and regions.
The purpose of the Finance Analystrole is to provide insights into centrally procured spend, to advise and support your business partners and to support process improvement and transformation activities. It will also provide line management and development to 1 direct report.

What else will you be doing?
- Providing value adding financial insight, support and challenge to the Engineering Supply Chain teams by building effective working relationships at all levels, within the wider Tech Operations Finance team and with other departments in the business
- Continually identify and implement improvements to business processes to increase efficiency and ensure all costs are recorded accurately in the accounts, as the business continues to grow
- Develop reports and analysis to give insights to Supply Chain and the Project Finance teams on centrally held inventory and deliveries to CFCs
- Maintain and enhance financial controls ensuring accuracy and robustness of the balance sheets
- Proactively support Supply Chain with ad-hoc commercial activities
- Review proposals for capital expenditure across the business area, and support the budgeting process to ensure that all costs and key assumptions are captured
- Support wider Central Technology team in internal and external reporting activities as required
- Manage, develop and lead 1 x Assistant Financial Analysts
About you
- You will need to have successfully completed your Accounting qualification (Qualified ACA / ACCA /CIMA or equivalent) with +1 PQE experience in a finance environment
- Experience in supporting finance and non-finance teams essential
- Advanced Excel / Google skills are essential
- Experience in global business within Engineering/Technology sectors is preferred but not essential
- Experience of Supply Chain and inventory management is advantageous but not essential
- Experience of mainstream accounting packages e.g. Oracle and Hyperion is advantageous but not essential
