I am delighted to announce that Robert Half are working exclusively with a fantastic, very well known construction business based close to Newcastle with the recruitment of a Finance Director.

This exciting role has arisen due to a retirement within the SMT.

As the Units Finance Director, you will have full responsibility of a small and talented team, as well as being the commercial and strategic link between the divisions financial performance and the development of short, medium and long term plans. This role will see direct liaison with the senior management team.

This opportunity would suit an ambitious, hands-on individual with proven success within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Director:

• Maintain and develop financial controls, systems and processes and compliance with statutory requirements
• Production of all necessary statements and reports to enable the accurate measurement of cash flow, profit and loss, debtors etc
• To prepare and manage the annual budget, year-end accounting and taxation reports
• o monitor business performance and present to the Leadership team regularly
• Negotiation of the financial arrangements of the business with third parties
• To work closely with the management team to aid strategic decision-making and identify opportunities to implement improvement and challenge the business needs.

To be considered for this role, you will be / have:

• ACA, CIMA, ACCA qualified
• Construction experience
• Strong leadership skills and commercially astute
• Effective communicator

Salary and Benefits

• 100,000 - 120,000 base salary
