We are on the quest to cut emissions and improve community resilience and are looking for a motivated individual to help us achieve this goal! As the Principal Advisor - Climate Change, you will provide advice and lead the reduction of organisational and citywide greenhouse gas emissions.

You will manage the delivery of the Palmerston North City Low Carbon Road Map, as well as maintain PNCC and citywide carbon emissions data, identify opportunities to reduce organisational emissions, and lead the provision of climate change input into organisational-wide projects.

We are looking for someone with a sound base of technical knowledge in their field. You will be an innovative thinker who is able to address complex issues which cut across disciplines. You should have the ability to lead and develop a small team, as well as identify where your time is most effectively spent contributing to improving the City's approach to climate change.

The successful applicant will have a relevant tertiary qualification, and at least 8 years postgraduate experience in their field of expertise.
