Finance Manager
Location: Bracknell
Salary:
BG-H £21,025 - £25,489 including London Weighting
Hours: 37 hours per week (term time only plus 10 days)
About the Trust
Our client aims to establish a partnership of up to 7 schools, bound by shared values and committed to securing outstanding outcomes for children and young people in all of its schools. Through a phased approach to growth, the trust will develop a teaching and learning community in which excellent teachers and staff aspire to work and learn.
The Trust consists of two Bracknell Forest Schools.
The Secondary School is an 11-18 coeducational, Anglican Academy (converter) which is oversubscribed and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement and positive school ethos. The school has had four ‘outstanding’ OFSTED reports, with Grade 1 across all areas.
The Primary School offers an exciting, value-driven curriculum within a supportive and challenging environment for over 400 pupils and in addition has its own nursery provision for 3 year olds. In October 2021 the school achieved a good Ofsted rating in all areas of inspection. The Primary School opened as a new Academy on 1st June 2017 within The Trust.
The Role
Required for immediate start, the Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and highly motivated Finance Manager to assist and support the Head of Finance and Operations in the effective and efficient administration of the school’s finances and other resources as appropriate.
Role Requirements
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, confident and well-organised and share the school’s commitment to helping all students achieve their potential. They will also need to have had some experience of working with young people, preferably in education.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- A*- C Maths & English or equivalent
- A Level or equivalent in Accountancy.
- Excellent numeracy, communication and organisational skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Competent at using MS Office, including word processing, spreadsheets and email
- Knowledge of procedures for updating finance systems, processing orders and invoices
- Ability to update and maintain financial records
- Able to relate well to children and adults. Deal sensitively with parents, pupils and colleagues
- Ability to work constructively as part of a team and work on own initiative.
- Able to plan and prioritise and work to competing deadlines
Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Business, finance qualification, or studying towards accountancy technician level qualification.
- Knowledge of school financial processes.
- SIMS/FMS
- Experience of working in a school
