Gauteng, JHB - Northern Suburbs Market - Related Annually Cost To Company (Market related) Our client based in Sandton is looking for a Cost Control Assistant to perform cost control, planning and forecasting of a mid-size plant operation in support of the company's Managing Director. Job Purpose;
As a Cost Control Assistant in this role, you will be expected to perform cost control, planning and forecasting of mid-size plant operation in support of the company's Managing Director. You will be responsible for analyzing physical and financial data, generating reports and managing documents.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Optimize cost control, programs and procedures
• Follow up planning and forecasting
• Prepare reports and data analysis
• Perform a cost control function
• Elaboration of database
• Aid department with day-to-day data collection
• Track payments
• Prepare written reports for delivery to senior-level managers
• Utilize spreadsheets and database tools

Requirements:

• BCom / Finance degree
• 2 years' experience within a similar role
• Math skills
• Good skills in Excel (including Excel VBA) and other Microsoft Office Suite tools

Skills and Attributes:

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn quickly
• Strongly detail-oriented with a heavy focus on maintaining accuracy of data
• Strong communication skills
