- BCOM Accounting
- Completed articles from a medium-sized audit firm
- Honors preferable
- At least 5 to 10 years in a finance role
- Of the Years must have been or is currently senior level, or management level
- Build smart preferable
- Someone who can make decisions and get their hands dirty at all levels of finance, not just reporting, or auditing
- Responsible for all journals and final GL balances including review of month-end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for operational management.
- Ensure that debtors are invoiced timeously and debt collection processes are followed and accurately documented in the debt management system. Report progress to the CFO on a weekly basis.
- Ensure monthly creditor and bank reconciliations are performed accurately and ready for review by the CFO.
- Releasing payments signed off by the CFO.
- Preparing monthly processing of payroll and payments to employees.
- Review fixed asset registers for all companies in the group on a monthly basis and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the content.
- Ensure the Chief Financial Officer is kept informed of industry developments, which are relevant to the operation of an efficient finance function
