If this appeals, we'd love to meet you. Good People is representing a fantastic organisation in the Manawatu region who are seeking an Asset Information Team Leader to join their future-focused team.

The Opportunity
This role takes the lead on ensuring the organisation gets the best out of its asset information resources, and there is massive opportunity to develop this area and make your mark!

You will lead the management of applications that support a significant portfolio of assets, and the management and reporting of data that is input into those applications - leading to stronger organisational decision making as a direct result of your work. You will lead a team to maintain accurate and up to date information on those assets, and produce insights and reports for monitoring, maintenance and decision making.

There will be a significant focus in the following areas:
  • Providing great leadership and development to the team, ensuring they are well supported to be the best they can be and enjoy being part of the team.
  • Lead and role model a business partnering approach to the team's work, engaging closely both through communication and on-the-ground visits with related stakeholder groups, so that your team's information is integrated into real-world practices and perspectives throughout the organisation. You'll be a ‘bridge' between your team and the wider organisation, and this is an opportunity to add huge value.

About You
  • Naturally, you'll love team leadership. You'll bring a constructive, positive, facilitative approach with a focus on development and great culture.
  • You'll have knowledge of or experience in either database or asset management, and ideally experience in an aligned area such as engineering, infrastructure, or of course asset information management.
  • You'll enjoy collaborating with the wider business through a partnering approach, keeping great relationships and communication alive.
