Bruin are searching for a Fixed Income Investment Manager to join our client a boutique Insurance company who are hiring into there Investment division.

The Junior Investment Manager will work closely with the Senior Fixed Income Manager. The ideal candidate will be working in a small team with the goal of providing assistance for a wide variety of investment management activities. The primary duty will be to manage the Company's internal fixed income portfolio. This will initially comprise corporate credit research, portfolio management, and trading under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Be a contributing part of the team’s corporate credit committee, conducting ongoing and new reviews of the Group’s corporate bond issuers, incorporating the Group’s responsible investment strategy.
• You will be encouraged to make proposals to adjust the dispositions of internal fixed income assets, within permitted investment parameters.
• Assist the Group with the execution of its foreign exchange requirements.
• To work with in-house resource to develop and enhance fixed income reporting and analytics.
• Support the initial and ongoing due diligence of external fund managers, in fixed income and other asset classes.

Education and Qualifications

• CFA qualification, or progress towards CFA qualification advantageous.
• Degree level or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in fixed Income focused Investment Role
• Strong understanding of Excel
• Knowledge of Clearwater, S&P data analytics, Market Axess and Tradeweb would be an advantage.
